Trauma-Informed Life Coaching & Mentoring for Individuals, Youth, and Families

Invest in your relationship with yourself

I’m Jodi McCarthy, a dedicated mother of three and the founder of Bloom & Grow Coaching LLC.
My personal journey as an at-risk youth—overcoming significant adversity—shaped who I am today and inspired my passion for helping young people thrive. Becoming a parent deepened that commitment and strengthened my belief that every young person deserves guidance, encouragement, and someone who truly sees their potential.

Motivated by my own experiences, I created Bloom & Grow Coaching to provide the kind of support I once needed—support that is compassionate, non-judgmental, and focused on building confidence, resilience, and real-world skills. With over 15 years’ experience in the human services field, I’ve worked closely with vulnerable children, teens, and families navigating complex challenges.

Bloom & Grow Coaching was founded to meet young people where they are at and help them move forward with purpose. My approach blends practical life coaching with a strong emphasis on self-esteem, accountability, and emotional growth. I am deeply passionate about empowering teens and families with the tools they need to make positive choices, strengthen relationships, and create lasting change.

One of them is away at college and has never connected with the different support options we have set up throughout the years. She instantly connected with Jodi and what a difference I have seen since last semester when she didnt have the extra support. The caring, compassion and professionalism is above and beyond with Bloom and Grow Coaching. THANK YOU for offering this much needed service."

Empowering individuals in Bergen, Hunterdon, Passaic, Morris, Somerset, Sussex and Warren County, New Jersey

Bloom and Grow Coaching is a non-clinical, fully insured mentoring and life coaching program. We take a person-centered, hands-on approach, using the eight dimensions of wellness—emotional, physical, social, environmental, occupational, financial, intellectual, and recreational—as the foundation for success.

In our weekly sessions, available both virtually and in-person, we help youth evaluate different aspects of their lives. Together, we assess where they feel satisfied and identify areas for improvement. We explore their aspirations, setting attainable, measurable, and self-directed goals that move them closer to their ideal future.

Throughout these sessions, we engage youth in community activities and interactive methods to put their goals into action. We also work to uncover the key elements that define each individual, including their strengths, values, talents, and abilities. By transforming challenges into opportunities for growth, we help them thrive.
